When I think of awesome scenery, there's a lot of choices to consider. Sure, the beach has it's merits, but all that salt and sand can get irritating. Cities are great to visit, but I can't imagine staying around for a long time without going crazy. Deserts...see beaches.
No, when I think about it, living mountain-side would be the ideal setup. Green, brown, and blue everywhere with splashes of color from the local wild and plant life. A few minutes exercise and breath-taking views are at your reach, both beautiful in it's view and in the view it gives you of how you compare to the grand scheme of things. The people are usually great and laidback, and, because life is slower, you're able to put your focus on what really matters.
To make my case further, please enjoy a short film I've made from our recent trip to to the southwest of Virginia with a couple of great friends, Stu and Cherise. If you get a hankering for the mountain life, I apologize in advance. :-D
