Fathoms Below

My mother spent a few weeks in Atlanta over the summer, so last week Brian and I sneaked away to pick her up and see some family. We weren't there for very long, but we couldn't leave without seeing at least ONE awesome Atlanta landmark. So  of course we headed to the Georgia Aquarium, a place that seriously never gets old. We'd been there once before a couple years ago, but it was like seeing it for the first time all over again.

It was an interesting feat trying to take photos in an aquarium - you can't use flash (bounces off glass) and it's pretty much perpetually dark everywhere. Plus the glass adds weird shadows and light changes to the images.

So, being the person I am, obviously took this as a challenge and took pictures anyway. Duh. Here are a few of the glorious wonders of the sea...

Anemon-nemo-nemone... Yes, our entire trip consisted of quoting Finding Nemo.

If I saw this coming at me in the middle of the ocean, I think I'd just die of shock & fear.
