There are a few times a year where we take the time to fully and unapologetically embrace our geekiness and love for all things nerdy. HeroesCon is definitely one of those times! Comic books, fandoms, cosplayers - it's plain fantastic!
This year, I was *this* close to starting an all-out Deadpool comic collection. I decided against it, but couldn't stay away from the Artists Alley - it is absolutely amazing, and seeing all the talented artists there was both awe-inspiring and impressive. Our favorite booth again this year? Comfort and Adam. They're a husband and wife team and their work is so great! We brought home three of their prints this year, and a comic book. I, of course, selected the Doctor Who print, Brian picked the Star Wars, and we both agreed we couldn't leave behind the Zelda print! Now we just need to buy frames and put them on the wall.
We went on Saturday this time, and the amount of cosplayers was overwhelming. People really nailed their costumes!
Pretty sure this chick makes the cutest Tenth Doctor I've ever seen (with the exception of the ACTUAL Tenth Doctor)!
One unexpected purchase? Our new caricatures! We ran into a friend who turned out to be an artist there. Look at his awesome rendering of us!
It was a great convention this year and I can't wait until the 2015 one! Maybe this time I'll get started on that Deadpool collection....
