There's a fine line between admiration and comparison. It's easy to compare yourself to others on social media, so I've made a conscious effort to follow and interact with people who move and inspire me with their work.
This is where Rodney comes in. Friend of mutual friends, Brian and I were immediately drawn to his eye and his brilliant curation of his own images. When I met him last year and found out he was fairly new to the business side of the industry, I was shocked, because I'm certain this kid is going places. And while I know he's still finding his footing, his new website and business name (Wood & Wire) seems like the beginning of something really spectacular.
Which is why, when we needed new profile pics, Brian and I wanted to see how Rodney would perceive and document us - both as a couple and individually. So we drove 3.5 hours to Asheville and spent a few hours climbing mountains, driving the Blue Ridge Parkway and standing in front of dramatic walls in the River Arts District..
...and magic happened.
We love everything about this session (as seen by the fact that our faces are plastered ALL OVER THIS SITE). We cannot wait to see the future that is ahead of Rodney and what brilliance is to come! A huge thank you to him for creating such special images of the two of us!
