Sometimes I can't believe I ever hated networking. Of course, I happen to be part of the best groups in the Triad (and yes I'm COMPLETELY biased), but between WPS meetings with some of my favorite people in Greensboro, and the local Rising Tide meeting right here in Burlington, I forget what it's like to be uncomfortable.
Ever since I went to the local Rising Tide retreat, I have been so fueled and more passionate than ever about my clients, my social media, and my business in general. And I'd be lying if I didn't say Rising Tide played a big role in that. It's so nice to have people who GET IT, and to help me get focused on the parts I really, really love. Plus I LOVE having a place where I can help others. We're genuinely lifting all ships all together, and it's been great.
Earlier this week, Sara-Anne, the gallant and amazing leader of our little group here in Burlington, has such wonderful connections with this town I've lived in for pretty much ever, and somehow we ended up being interviewed for our local news program! I went, just to show support, without my morning coffee or eyeliner, or earrings. Somehow, don't ask me how it happened (did I mention I didn't have coffee?) I ended up being interviewed.
I really do adore this little group. It's made up of some seriously INCREDIBLE people. If you haven't heard of the Rising Tide Society, and want to attend one of our local meetings, trust me, you totally, absolutely, definitely, completely should.
